As reported before, one man that stands out on Survivor: Fiji is Yau-Man Chan, the 54-year old native of Borneo. Although many consider him as the underdog of the competition, given his age and flimsy physique, his existence on the program has prompted viewers to become aware of his wit and acumen, which has led fans to favor Yau-Man to be the winner of the competition. But for those who are part of the "Cult of Yau-Man," prepare yourselves, as things might get rocky for the fragile contestant.
Despite his meek persona, his usefulness, brilliance and sensibility have slowly surfaced in the competition, allowing other contestants to see what they are really up to. Performing very well beyond the expectations of others, Yau-Man is now perceived as a great threat by other contestants. And despite having the immunity idol that could keep him safe at least for another episode, Yau-Man might possibly exit Survivor in the coming episodes.
Looking back in the most recent episode of Survivor, Dre "Dreamz" Herd and Cassandra Franklin have already hinted that they have considered targeting Yau-Man as the next contestant to be eliminated. In addition, Stacy Kimball has also mentioned that she will follow whatever Cassandra does.
Yau-Man's solid alliance at this point is Ear Cole. However, he also might be willing to consider throwing out his loyalty to Yau-Man to strategically team up with Dreamz. And if Dreamz, Cassandra, and Stacy can persuade Kenward "Boo" Bernis to join them, then they might just be able to take over the decision and eliminate Yau-Man.
On the other hand, if Earl or Yau-Man wins immunity or finds the second hidden immunity idol, there just might be hope for the infamous Yau-Man.
Unless one of them wins immunity OR finds the second hidden immunity idol, Earl and Yau-Man will be in the cross hair if that alliance comes to be.
