• Murrine – Similar to millefiori, the technique of murrine allows the obtaining of multicolored, interwoven patterns starting from pre-shaped rods of glass. Murrine designs can involve intricate, highly detailed patterns, which are perfect for decorating Murano glass jewelry and vases.

• Smalto – The term "smalto" defines the method of enameling glassware, which is nowadays commonly used in the process of manufacturing bottles, bowls and other glass containers.
